On May 3, 2023, a modern GNSS device- Global Navigation Satellite System was handed overto the City of Ljubuški, which was accompanied by training on handling the device.
The mentioned device is used for the most accurate measurement of plots and areas in the field. The City of Ljubuški will use the device to identify unused arable land, uncultivable land or entry into the possession of a third party, then usurpation of plots and measurement of precise areas (on which the amount of the lease or concession depends).
The results of measurement and identification of surfaces can be displayed in the geographic information system in AgroLife and further used.
The activity is part of the "Digitalization of Municipal Land Management" project. The aim of the project is to improve the capacity of local self-governments in the area of digital land management through:
- improving transparency in the process of digital land management
- modernization of services provided by local governments
- regional exchange of experiences in this field.
The regional project "Digitalization of municipal land management" is implemented by GIZ and the company Telegroup, in partnership with the Network for a favorable business environment represented by NALED, REDAH, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska and the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, as part of the develoPPP program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
