On February 6, 2025, the 4th partner meeting of the project "Training for Employment in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector in Herzegovina" took place in Neum. All key project partners gathered to review the current status of activities in line with the previously adopted action plan. Additionally, the planned procurements were discussed, which will enable further development and implementation of the training programs. One of the key parts of the meeting was the development of a strategy for the upcoming period, aimed at ensuring the long-term sustainability of the project and the activation of new jobs in the tourism and hospitality sector in Herzegovina.

Partners: Association for Economic Development REDAH, Municipality of Ravno, City of Stolac, Employment Service of HNŽ-HNK, Hotel Villa Nova d.o.o. Neum, Secondary School Stolac, and Secondary School Neum.
Project Duration: 21 months, June 2024 – March 2026
Project Value: 228,019.75 USD, with EU funding of 180,000 USD.
General Goal of the Project: The creation and implementation of training programs to activate and integrate unemployed individuals into local labor markets by local employment partnerships.
The project aims to reduce the mismatch between the currently high number of unemployed individuals and the expressed demand from tourism sector companies for specific job profiles.
LPZ Turizam Hercegovina is one of the 26 partnerships established in Bosnia and Herzegovina within the framework of the project "Support of the European Union to local partnerships for employment - Phase II" (LEP II), which is financed by the European Union with 6 million euros, and implemented by the International Labor Organization (ILO ). This project aims to contribute to the improvement of employment in local communities through local partnerships for employment and improve the skills and opportunities for employment of persons in a disadvantageous position on the labor market.
