The Regional Development Agency for Herzegovina (REDAH), the leading partner in the EU project "Support to Youth in Employment in the IT Sector", held an initial meeting with other members of the Local Partnership Mostar on Monday, March 28, 2022. Current status of the project, defining the project implementation team, future mutual relations of partners in project implementation, preparation of action plan and dynamics of activities with clearly defined roles of each partner, and other administrative and project activities important in the initial phase of
implementation were discussed at the meeting. The aim of the project is to create and establish a model of certification and training for the IT sector, which, with its approach, activities and implementation of active employment measures, will create more favorable conditions for direct employment and reduce youth unemployment in Mostar and Herzegovina. REDAH, together with its partners: City of Mostar, University of Mostar, company IT department d.o.o. Mostar and the Employment Service of HNC / HNK, starts with the implementation of the project, which will last 21 months with a total value of 400.182 KM, out of which the amount of EU grant funds is 312,932 KM. Local Partnership for Employment Mostar is one of 20 established in the country under the project "European Union Support to Local Partnerships for Employment
- Phase II" (LEP II), funded by the European Union with 4 million euros and implemented by the International Labor Organization (ILO).
This project aims to contribute to the improvement of employment opportunities in local communities by supporting the development of local employment partnerships as partner-established labor market mechanisms that ensure access to formal employment at the local level.
