As a part of process of drafting the
Operational Program of Adriatic Cross-Border Cooperation 2007-2013, the meeting
of the team in charge of preparing Operational Program IPA Adriatic
Cross-Border Cooperation was held on Thursday,
March 15, 2007 in the Hotel Park in Vogošća. The meeting
was attended by the Acting Director of REDAH Mr. Ivan Jurilj.
The drafting team consists of
representatives of countries that have the opportunity to participate
in this
program, namely the regions from Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Albania. The only
eligible region
from Bosnia and Herzegovina is the region covering
the 23 municipalities from Herzegovina.
The meeting discussed the draft
proposal of Operational Program 2007-2013 as well as Strategic Evaluation of
Environmental conditions and Ex-Ante Evaluation. In addition to representatives
from Bosnia and Herzegovina the meeting was also attended by the
representatives of Italy and Italian provinces bordering the Adriatic Sea,
representatives from the Republic of Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Albania,
Greece and the representatives of the European Commission from Brussels.
After the introductory address and
welcoming the present representatives to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the director of the
Direction for European Integrations, Mr. Osman Topčagić presented the
significance of this project for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its accession to the
European Union.
