Mostar- Two day workshop on
"Project Cycle Management-Drafting Logical Framework", organized by the
Regional Economic Development Agency for Herzegovina (REDAH) as a part of its
regular activities from Business Plan for 2007-2008, was completed in Mostar
today.
This workshop is a continuation of
the workshop cycle started by REDAH in the last year as a part of implementing
activities of "Capacity Building Program for Writing and Implementing Projects
in Herzegovina Region", with an aim of systematically approaching the capacity
building process.
REDAH's primary objective in
implementing this Program is providing assistance to municipalities and the
entire region so that they can be better prepared to use any existing EU funds
available to Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the period between
2007 and 2013 the institutions and organizations from Herzegovina will be eligible to use
European Union Funds as a part of the new Instrument for Pre-accession
Assistance (IPA). This is especially important for municipalities from
Herzegovina Region since they will be eligible for Adriatic Cross Border
Cooperation Funds. They will be able to submit their project proposals for
funding together with partners from other neighboring countries such as the Republic of Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Albania, Slovenia and Greece.
At this stage of implementation
process REDAH is primarily focused on strengthening municipalities' capacities
since they are the primary stakeholders of local development and will in the
future be more directly involved in preparing and implementing development
projects.
In addition to this workshop, two
other workshops are to be held in this cycle, one in Trebinja and the other in
Tomislavgrad.
