Training organized for candidates for BFC SEE evaluators

On July 7, 2023. In Mostar, training was held for candidates for BFC evaluators according to the new, IV edition of the BFC SEE standard.

The training covered the following topics:

- Implementation of the certification process according to the new BFC SEE methodology

- The role and tasks of the evaluator

- Certification criteria

- Guidelines and instructions for evaluating the fulfillment of criteria/sub-criteria.

The BFC SEE Certification Program for cities and municipalities with a favorable business environment in Southeast Europe is a unique program for improving and harmonizing business conditions, which encourages and enables connection and cooperation between the most successful cities and municipalities, with the aim of attracting new investments to the region of Southeast Europe.

The program is based on the principles of good and efficient administration and is primarily intended for local governments that take a proactive approach in developing their investment potential.

The activity is part of the project Establishing business Friendly Environment Platform in WB6.

CORE Partnership - Partnership for a competitive region, is a joint project of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Gmbh, NALED and other partners of the BFC SEE Network whose goal is to contribute to competitiveness, economic growth and the process of European integration in the region, for the benefit of all citizens and economy.

The project will use these potentials, and the need for closer cooperation between the economies of the Western Balkans, as well as examples of good practice realized within the BFC SEE Network.

CORE Partnership is a regional network of 8 economies of Southeast Europe (Albania, Federation of BiH, Republika Srpska (BIH), Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Croatia) created as an upgrade of the idea and long-standing good practice of the BFC SEE network with the intention of consolidating the program , structures and to create an organization that will deal with increasing the competitiveness of the economies of the Western Balkans, thus enabling the increase of economic growth and the acceleration of the process of European integration in the region, for the benefit of all citizens and the economy.

The Business Friendly Certification South East Europe (BFC SEE) certification program continues to be implemented within the framework of the CORE Partnership. This long-standing program (since 2012) has behind it countless activities, initiatives and projects and a comprehensive methodology and criteria for awarding the BFC certificate, aligned with international standards.
