On November 17, 2022, the third, last day of the three-day training on the topic "Start your business" as part of the project "Supporting youth employment in the IT sector" was completed.
The trainings were conducted according to the methodology of the International Labor Organization and were held: November 3, 10 and 17,2022. in the premises of IT odjel d.o.o. Mostar, one of the partners in the project. This space is specially equipped with equipment and computers for the purpose of holding trainings.
The training included a theoretical and practical part, with tasks that participants performed during the training in order to master the basics of business planning. In all this, the participants had the mentoring support of the trainer.
The training was conducted by Mrs. Alisa Gekić, a certified ILO trainer.
During 3 days, the candidates acquired new knowledge for developing a business idea and putting together a business plan. The educational program covered the following topics: Business plan, consolidating the business idea, marketing plan, employment, organization and management, procurement, determining the costs of products and services, financial planning, initial capital and refining the business plan.
A total of 14 candidates attended the training, of which 11 candidates successfully completed the training.
After the training, the participants were ceremoniously awareded with certificates of successfully completed training.
After completing the training, participants who have successfully completed the training will be required to develop business plans, after which the expert committee will evaluate at least 8 of the best business ideas/business plans for starting a business, which will receive support through:
REDAH in partnership with the City of Mostar, the University of Mostar, the company IT odjel d.o.o. Mostar and the Employment Service of HNŽ/HNK is starting the implementation of the project "SUPPORT TO YOUTH EMPLOYMENT IN THE IT SECTOR", which will last 21 months with a total value of 400,182 KM, of which the amount of EU grant funds is 312,932 KM. The project intends to reduce the discrepancy between the currently recorded large number of unemployed young people and the expressed need of companies from the IT sector for a specific occupational profile. The local partnership will initiate a process with planned activities that will create methods and tools for long-term sustainability through the Local Action Plan for employment of the City of Mostar.
The Local Partnership for Employment Mostar is one of 20 partnerships established in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the project "Support of the European Union to Local Partnerships for Employment - Phase II" (LEP II), financed by the European Union with 4 million euros, and implemented by the International Labor Organization (ILO). . This project aims to contribute to the improvement of employment in local communities through local partnerships for employment and improve the skills and opportunities for employment of persons in a disadvantageous position on the labor market.
